Terms & Conditions

Last updated: March 26, 2026

1. Service Overview

Vorpl (“the Service”) is an intelligence layer for AI-assisted coding tools. It observes your coding sessions, extracts behavioral and technical patterns, generates reusable rules, and serves those rules back to your AI assistant to improve its responses over time. The Service is operated by Vorpl (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Data Collection & Processing

By using Vorpl, you acknowledge and agree that the Service collects and processes the following data from your coding sessions:

  • User messages: The text of messages you send to your AI assistant (with code blocks, API keys, tokens, passwords, and other sensitive content automatically stripped before processing).
  • AI reasoning insights: Selected portions of your AI assistant's internal reasoning that contain actionable patterns (e.g., corrections, realizations, approach changes).
  • Session metadata: Session identifiers, timestamps, detected programming language and framework, message counts, and sentiment signals (correction, approval, frustration patterns).
  • Behavioral patterns: Extracted rules about your coding preferences, communication style, workflow preferences, and technical decisions.

We do not collect: file contents, source code, directory structures, environment variables, credentials, or any data beyond what is described above. All sensitive content (API keys, tokens, passwords, JWTs) is stripped locally before any data leaves your machine.

3. How Your Data Is Used

  • Rule generation: Your session data is processed by AI models (including Claude Haiku and validation models) to extract reusable behavioral and technical rules.
  • Rule serving: Generated rules are stored in the cloud and served back to your AI assistant via hooks to improve its responses.
  • Collective intelligence (Pro plan): Rules that are independently discovered by multiple users may be aggregated (anonymized) into a collective rule library available to Pro subscribers.
  • Service improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns may be used to improve rule quality, matching accuracy, and overall service performance.

4. Cloud Storage & Rule Ownership

Rules generated from your sessions are stored in our cloud infrastructure and served on-demand. Rules are not stored permanently on your local machine after cloud synchronization succeeds (for intellectual property protection).

Personal rules (discovered only by you) are fully under your control. You can deactivate, edit, or request deletion of any personal rule through the dashboard.

Multi-origin rules (independently discovered by multiple users) cannot be globally deactivated by a single user. You can dismiss them from your own sessions, but they remain active for other originators.

5. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard Settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data (API keys, settings, session metadata) will be permanently removed. Rules you contributed that have been independently discovered by other users will be preserved in anonymized form within the collective library. Single-origin rules will be transferred to a system account and may continue to serve collective intelligence users in anonymized form.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party providers to process your data:

  • Anthropic (Claude): For ongoing session analysis via Claude Haiku.
  • OpenRouter: For historical session analysis and rule validation via hosted AI models.
  • Supabase: For cloud database storage, authentication, and user management.
  • Cloudflare: For API hosting and edge computing.
  • Vercel: For dashboard and website hosting.

7. Pricing & Plans

Free plan: Unlimited personal rules, behavioral profiling, historical analysis, cloud sync, and effectiveness tracking at no cost.

Pro plan ($15/month): Everything in Free plus access to the collective intelligence library (curated rules from thousands of developers), cross-user effectiveness data, and priority support. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

8. Intellectual Property

Rules generated by the Service are derived from your usage patterns and our analysis algorithms. You retain ownership of the behavioral insights underlying your personal rules. We retain ownership of the algorithms, prompts, and systems used to generate, validate, and serve rules. The collective rule library is owned by Vorpl and licensed to Pro subscribers for use within the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from rules generated by the Service, including but not limited to code defects, security vulnerabilities, or workflow disruptions. Rules are suggestions based on observed patterns and should be reviewed by the user.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
